I need to replace my early non-retractable seatbelts but everyone I talk to wants $75 to $100 for a clean belt (not even a pair of belts, just a belt for one side). This seems a little high to me. The 914 belts look straight out of the VW parts bin. The belt with the tongue is part 1.0084.0 (if I remember correctly) and the belt with the release lever is 1.9004.1 (or something close to that).
My question is what early VW has compatable belts? And while I'm at it, any recommendations for best Bay Area wreaking yard for 914s and aircooled VWs? Douglas |
