I had a helper run through the gears while I told him where and how to turn the shift rod. Just thought it interesting to watch. Here it is before the adjustments were made. You can see I wasn't quite lined up in the 2-3 plane correctly.

The car has (front to back):
* Rennshift
* Tangerine Racing firewall bushing
* Delrin (non-oval) shift coupler bushings
* SiBronze side shift bushing
* Stock cup bushing

Aaron,

So, tell us how it shifts while driving. The list of components sounds good. Thanks.

So how did you adjust it to correct the 2-3?

95% of the time 2-5 shifts great. 50% of the time first gear gets bound up. I’m slowly moving the shifter forward and it seems to be helping, but soon I will be beyond the center of the shifter (towards the 2–4 plane). First gear never binds up when the car is off. I’m pretty sure I’m perfectly centered left to right.

The transmission has been rebuilt and verified to be good bye the one and only Dr. Evil. This problem existed before the rebuild. Sometimes first gear just slots right in perfectly...

Love my Rennshift with the sideshift but the first time I get the car out I always forget how strong the springs are in the 4 - 5 plane and inevitably when trying up upshift to 5 hit 3rd. One of these days I will have to remember before I over-rev myself into a huge repair bill.

My Seine in the SC doesn’t have such tight springs so I never think about it. Besides it’s not a dog leg.
