1/10 scale 4X4 replaced the trailing arms. Cleaned out cooling fan. Too hot to work (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Actually, I did ... took pix and posted more items in the classifieds here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Otherwise, I dropped off all the drive train parts for the 912 to the shop last week so they could get working on the car again. It had been sitting pretty much idle for the past year while I finished the assembling the engine & refurbishing the other parts as needed.

Man that looks good Mark.

Ever have one of those weeks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I destroyed the paint job on my skateboard. Trying to do touch up and when finished I pulled my tape and giant shards of multiple coats of paint pulled up with it. So I’m going with another gulf livery.

I’ll help you lay your tape for you. I’ll even back tape it for you if you were looking at fancy. Hope you are well Mark. I worked for a fella that did the fancy hippy Van paint jobs for the dealerships. Yes that long ago (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Been cleaning up & reorganizing the mess under the carport ... need to move the buggy off of the lift and move it under the carport so I can get back to installing the wiring harness.

Then, I need to get the Boxter on the lift so I can replace the (4) O2 sensors, check the brake pads & rotors and do an oil change

My brother and I went down to Werks Reunion (Monterey, CA) to support our great friend, Greg T. He just completed the full build restoration of his '74 Carrera coupe which he turned into a Carrera tribute with a screaming 2.9 MFI motor and all the goodies. I could be biased, but his car was the prettiest of his class.

And, we spotted Enrique ( @RiqueMar ) with his 914-6 (914Seis) and had to stop and admire that beauty. The car is very well done and he drives it like he means it. Great talking with him about our cars. In case you were wondering, I am the old dude on the right.

Today we took my car to the Mels Diner American Graffiti annual Car Show. As you might suspect, it is 99% hot rods. My car is well received though with a lot of people stopping to talk and look. We had a VW convertible and an old bug there too. It only about 4 miles from home, so it's a no brainer.

Because I have parked it so I don't break anything before the vintage grand Prix festivities in Watkins Glen next week. So I have pulled out the mustang to burn off some old fuel and drive it a bit.

Going from 110-120 lbs of torque to 320 is a little jarring. Even if it weighs 1200 pounds more.

Don't even get me started on the handling. Maybe I need to put in some better shocks. Or maybe I am just spoiled from driving the 914 all summer.

took apart my Church's lawn tractor engine to repair. Ever hear of a compression release camshaft? Nifty idea in theory, sucks in real world.
Search 'Briggs & Stratton camshaft'.

I'm hoping it is designed a LOT better than the B&S. From what I read, it is 'when' it will fail, not 'if'....
