Volunteering on rebuilding PT Boat 728. It's a huge undertaking. Learning some new skills too such as cussing, swearing, pulling splinters, bandaging cuts and how not to build a boat.

Yup, it wasn't a fun ride that I thought it would be. The steering wheel is too big for my comfort level and the steering is too vague on the feedback. I am a bit too impatient i guess when I drive. That thing takes time to speed up.

I do love the look of other driver when they see that there is no one in the "driver" side.

I removed all the temporarily-placed brick edging from the new paved area in the back yard, compacted a sand base then re-compacted the bricks into place. It took two bags of sand, because the original dig was 4+ inches. Our little Pug/Frenchie Bulldog helped with the compaction (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

We won't dig down as far for the remaining sections that we're going to brick, but I think we'll go through at least four more bags to get it all done.

Looking forward to clearing out some the stuff you're looking at, so I can move my mid-rise lift back there ... and finally have some usable work space (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Years ago, I had a customer that owned a Japanese spec Fairlady Z. He brought it back from Japan when he was in the Marines. It was RHD. When I would have to test drive it, one of the other techs would grab a steering wheel and sit in the left side. We would get right next to someone, he would stare at them and jerk the wheel as if he was turning into them.

We were young and stupid. Nobody ever got hurt, just lots of startled drivers. I am much older and smarter now, so I wouldn't do it again.

I wouldn't make it any farther, and I haven't been through what you have.

great to see you riding Mike!

I still try to walk 4-5 miles per day.
Might go for a bike this year...not sure.
I travel a lot, so my entire exercise program is portable, with no machines (not always at every hotel)
So, I walk and do floor stretching and some yoga (sort of)

Finally got my car home this week. Unfortunately after a year of it being gone. I could barely fit it in my damn garage. Doing a little spring cleaning to make some space

Getting "Olle" (the Road Warrior Worrier) ready for his next trip from VA to MN and back. So far we've done the oil/filter change, basic tune-up stuff, upper strut mounts, fabricated a couple new brake lines, bled (both of us). Motor and transmission mounts next, then alignment.

Old plugs look pretty good for a car with 215K (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

May do 914's shift coupler this FRI--kind of dreading it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

That’s great Mike. Easy gears, start slow. Muscles need time to adapt and get strong but they will. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)
