Done a lot of reading on old threads here and have found that sizes for the bolts on the bottom of the rocker covers are 6MM X 12 (or 16 mm long) and the two screws in the fender well are #8X3/4 - but I can't find reference for a sheet metal screw size if you switch from rivets across the top...

Porsche used plastic rivets so you could remove them with a razor blade and not have to drill them out.

Porsche used plastic rivets so you could remove them with a razor blade and not have to drill them out. What gun do/did you use for the plastic rivets? I got some plastic rivets a few years ago and the stem seemed to be to short for any of my rivet guns and also to thin to grab. |

Porsche used plastic rivets so you could remove them with a razor blade and not have to drill them out. What gun do/did you use for the plastic rivets? I got some plastic rivets a few years ago and the stem seemed to be to short for any of my rivet guns and also to thin to grab. Most of them are meant to be driven in to expand the fingers and not pulled out. Short pin is a sign that it goes into the rivet and expands the fingers. |
