Nice looking 914-6...thanks for posting Mike
The only complaint I have and it has nothing to do with this nice 914-6 example... What a piece of crap is the Porsche Production Specifications (PPS) (formerly Certificate of Authenticity (COA)). It isn't worth a $118.95 usd. It sure isn't the old Kardex.... Sorry I just had to rant.... |

It's like paying someone to look at your car and tell you what you already know. The lack of info keeps them from getting dragged into lawsuits I bet. |

Yes, the battery tray looks dodgy. I'll bet the hell hole is as well.
The color is a great one. I'd have to attend to many things on this car. Ditch that steering wheel cover. Cracked dash and dash-to-windshield seal. Man that wood dash overlay is horrible. Don't like the looks of the aftermarket MSD ignition unit. Wrong wheels but I'd live with those. Hagerty (which I've been told is very optimistic) rates a #2 excellent 914-6 at $82k. This car is not that. A #3 good 914-6 is $57.5k. I'm thinking the current beginning bid is pretty close to what this car is worth. No way the $78.5k he's looking to get. |

I’ve spoken with who you obtained the car from a friend who recently passed. I think the current owner wants to do the right thing but they are not super mobil. The owner is open to someone local looking at the car.
We are interested but need to see the longs and hell hole before hopping on a plane. Any members live close to the car and can take a look? Darren |

Late bumpers, and rusty battery tray, but apart from that a pretty damn good looking car.
Love the color! It looks exactly like the color on my daily driver. |

Good catch Andrew. Yeah, that bumper was not put on '70 cars. For the '71 MY it was installed beginning in the middle of the MY run. My late '71 came with the late bumper. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

My 1970 -6 started life with the same color. Previous owner decided to respray with a poor silver paint job. Not sure if I should go back to the original color when restoration starts or go a different direction all together.

No sale at $59,100.
Seems like that was a fair enough price for this particular car. |
