As the existing race buckets are now annealed in the Arizona summer storage temperatures, it is time to begin the stock 914 seat refurb and install.

Our Pal, Oscar was kind enough to bring me two almost perfect core seats to begin the project with. I am ordering kits from 914Rubber and will attempt to recover the cores with 914Toy (Kieth's) help from his recent experience.

What I am looking to pay for is two seat rails or seat brackets to mount the newly refurbed seats to.

My car is a 71 so originally it had a hell hole seat for the unfortunate passenger (VW Marketing hoping the thrill of launching forward of that unfortunate snail darter passenger at break neck speeds approaching 45 MPH in second gear would,... well you get the picture..)

anyway, I am hoping someone might have a pair of seat rails left and right to make the conversion back to 914 style seats possible.

Sidebar: The line from the hideous shower scene in Shawshank Redemption reflects on how hard it is to find a rare thing.... Albeit the 914 a finer pursuit.........

Cost plus shipping and handling (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif) ..... Thanks for your help

Shades of Chevy Chase in "Vacation" with Granny on the roof in her rocker!

But whose Granny did Oscar bring in the "view seats"!? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
