We receive fiberglass and aluminum hoods all the time. Shipping isn’t crazy with the right carrier. It is worth making a wood frame like the way windshields are shipped. I would just lay a couple layers of cardboard on each side of the wood frame.

I know someone that tried shipping a hood via Greyhound.
He said they lost it and when they finally found it he claims they wanted to charge him storage fees.. He told them to keep it and lost the hood... |
