Congrats Larmo love the color.
You will love the 911. It is just a little different than the 914.

I’m sure you will still be allowed to come and play with us.

You all need to stop bothering Laymo with all these nonsensical (to him) questions. He is firmly planted on the 911 section of the bird board. He will no longer have time to spend entertaining the unwashed unsophisticated 914 family. Here's a tip for Laymo, when you throw your 911 into a hard turn and the rear end starts to break loose, immediately take your foot off the throttle. QUOTE(Larmo63 @ Oct 5 2019, 11:05 AM) *

I am not a 914 owner as of a few weeks ago as a few people here already know. I traded my 914-6 conversion to Jon Bovey (Pee Green) for his '78 Targa 911 SC.

I think both sides are happy with the trade, I know I am. I'm moving on to a different Porsche chapter in my life.

This thing hauls ass.

Cool car Lawrence.

I stayed mid engine though.

I petitioned for a license plate NOTA 911.

It was taken.

The car is a Euro spec '78 911 SC. 3.0 Engine built by Jeff Hines years ago, it really still goes faaaaasssst. 915 trans w/limited slip, Tarrett sway bars, Von shocks, full cage.

The color is one year only - Fern Green. I like it, and the car was this color from the factory.

I'm doing small 'projects' on it here and there, really learning about the car.

Man I have never owned a 911. I know Jon well & his car is very nice. You definitely came out on top in this trade Lawrence. That is a sweet assdrager. We just need the pic with the old aviator goggles to make this really official

I ventured into the 911 world back in May. Loved it so much I considered putting the 914 up for sale but decided against it, so now I have the best of both worlds! The 911's are fun cars for sure...each car has its place.

Congrats!!

Congratulations Lawrence. I loved your 914. Great looking car with just the right attitude. I am sure you will love the 911 and I wish you nothing but the best with it. The 3.0 is a terrific motor and with the limited slip 915 you should have lots of fun.

I have flip-flopped back and forth between 911's and 914-6's for the last 40 years. In the end the 914-6 was the winner for me. I may buy an '89 Carrera coupe one of these days if I am around long enough. That is the only 911 I really want to share the garage with the 914-6.

Cheers and I hope to see you soon.
