It was great meeting Ben and his family today. Sad to see the car go, but happy my -6 is going to a good home :-)
Thank you all for the help filling in the blanks with the history of this car and thank you again Michael @Cairo94507 for performing a PPI for the new buyer.

We still have our 73' 2.0L in the collection, so I'll still be here for many years to come (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I'm happy to have some space in my garage for now...I have some racing Go-Karts to rebuild as well as a restoration to start on my 67' 911 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)
Cheers,
Dominic

I've not stopped smiling since seeing and driving this car Saturday morning!

Thanks again to Michael for all the assist.

Thank you Dominic for all the goodies, documentation and having the car in such great shape. That was a great experience for us driving down and I couldn't be happier with the way we got our business conducted.

See you out there teeners. Driving the 914 to work today!

This is now on BAT . I think the selling dealer is a bit clueless claiming its a 2.7l. Maybe Ben can confirm what was done to the engine. Its still a 2R engine case so a 1970 2.2l motor originally…l

It does look great. But I’m struggling to see how it’s a 2.7l engine. Its still a 1970 2.2L 2R case engine. There’s no documentation to support the amount of work it takes to build such an engine on a 2.2L case.

and if it is a 2.7 ..that's a big stepup for 2.2 case...usually crack at the end of the case behind flywheel...case to thin after boring.. usually a vintage racing cheat..

Yes indeed. From the supplied receipts from 2020, the only a mention of 2.7 is a “suggested modification” . But actual work done just simply say “bored the cylinders with new pistons”. So my guess is it got bored from 84mm to 86mm and was actually a 2.3L. No matter what though, the seller mis-represented this part of the car with zero documentation to prove it.
