Say wha? That yellow car, to someone, was everything the 914 could have been. It has everything the factory should have done, the very definition of 914 perfection... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

PS I don't think the front bumper turn lights as shown in the design study above would have been legal in the US, which would still have required side lights (warts). And the way the bumpers are rendered they appear to have been intended as bright metal (maybe like the later VW bumpers?) that would telescope in and out, not dark rubber.

Picture of 1974 with new safety bumper on 911s. Turn signal in bumper so it could be and I think the date is 9-1-1974 on this?

Those wrap around lights would be legal if that's how they had developed, but the drawing above only shows the little bumper lights facing forward. Imagine a 914 with that bumper/light set-up and the accordion pleats.

I think the lights in the front bumper shown in the drawing are side marker lights. The turn signals would probably be separate lights in the front of the bumper.
