I purchased this car from the original owner some years ago with the intention of a full restoration. Unfortunately for me, that will need to be completed by someone else.
The original owner purchased this car from the factory in Germany and drove it around Europe before shipping it home to the US where he drove it for a few years and parked it. The owner´s manual is in German and I am not sure how much of the tool kit, shown in one of the photos, I actually received. The odometer shows under 50,000 miles which I believe is the accurate mileage. Two of the tires are bare which I believe could be factory originals. This car has probably been on the road no more than a few years in its lifetime and stored the remained of the time. The bad: A mud ball left too long between the right long and rocker panel resulted in a rust hole in both places. A new rocker panel is included. The left front parking light assembly is bent and lens is missing. A new lens and assembly is included. The battery tray has acid damage and was removed as was the battery. A new tray will need to be purchased and installed. There is surface rust in several locations (I have tried to show them all). Blistering rust above the right rear lens assembly is probably indicative of interior rust. The interior is original but an aftermarket, wood trim piece was glued to the front dash panel. The steering wheel has an aftermarket leather covering. These should both be easy to remove. The passenger side foot rest is missing. The good: This car is completely original. VIN: 9140431879 Asking $50,000 FOB Dallas I am in no rush to sell but I am not going to be able to restore this myself. Offering the car here before I attempt elsewhere. Something squirrelly going on with the 8th picture. As Mark said must be from another car.
