Hi,
I am replacing ALL of the rubber in our '74 2.0. All is going well though the TARGA pieces are a bear. In the frunk the seal that goes around the entire frunk will not allow the lid to close all the way without bending the lid!!! Seems that it is too tall? The old rubber though beat up, fits and allows the lid to close fine. I have a note into 914Rubber, but I thought I would ask the team here if this is a common problem? THANK YOU ctc911CTC |

I had the same issue when I first replaced the seals had to reorder a different set from 914rubber the first set came too tall. The new set looks like this.
Front Rear The original rear had a long rubber flange and it was the same profile for front and rear you can see they are different now and may not be fully stock, but the frunk and trunk close correctly now. 914Rubber said they had some stock that was shorter than others |
