56 years ago this happened, and approx 50% of the 24 hour race was in the wet !

You are the Man Marty! I don't think there is a better caretaker for # 40 at this time in history. You don't treat it as a museum piece you take it out to be seen and admired for the great car it is. Good on you man. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Didn't seem that way back in 1974, when I took a trip to Paris. I met up with my Uncle Mssr. Hoffman then we took a trip to the Sonauto dealer where we found no leads on the car, its owner, or any whereabouts. Never gave up the chase though ¡

Red № 47 911st of Kremer fame 2.5L class finished in 7th overall...so #40 (6th overall) beat the fastest 911 in the GT2.5 group/ and all of the GT2L group/ and a v8 Corvette at this event (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif) Attached Image
