Since this would be a 914 club calender, I think it is important to accurately represent the true cross section of 914s owned by club members. In other words, roughly half of the photos should illustrate 914s holding down jackstands, or with rotten hell holes and longs, etc. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) In fact, I nominate my car, as in its current state it would perfectly illustrate one of the cold and dark winter months as it awaits rebirth in the spring. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) Heavy.

Jake I'd rather see a big ole smoky burn out. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/burnout.gif) or a blur of 914 scooting through AX cones with a ridiculously low time on the score board. Howabout you do the burn out and I'll post the low time. all with your 3.0L motor (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rocking nana.gif)

Here are some suggestions if we don't limit the calendar to "pin-up" type.

Set a time period ~ 4-6 weeks of submissions, then the garage can all take a week to vote for 12 images. We could even "create" extra months since we need more time to work on our cars. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

I was thinking more along the lines of T-Shirts with the toolwench logo on them for the females in our lives. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

BTW.. the Original Toolwench already has one with this logo on it.

How about a club wrench? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Yeah Gwen, like I have TWO non-running 914's I need to finish and design and a meet to organize. I keep telling myself to stay away from the garage to devote more time to them but that never happens... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Plus I'd be too biased and loose all the pics of guys or unmodified 914s and include more art work. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

We need a trained graphic artist or digital media guru. I "think" Lyressa has this expertise...or Siverson who managed the digital WCC05 shirt designs.

Ris, If I recall correctly, Brad told me you created pictorial tech manuals for Oracle.

In any case, get your pic ready...

I'll see if Steve can help put this together.

QUOTE (bd1308 @ Jul 5 2005, 01:38 PM)
well okay, i suppose i would need 12 914 pictures and/or 12 member pics......

and then i could compile them into a calender.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) it looks sweet...in my head.

So when you want us to send you pictures Britt?

Seriously, if the club wants to have a calendar I suggest we try a service like cafepress.com which does not require anyone financially bankrolling the project.

Someone just needs to start a store there (if you want I'll volunteer) and anyone, anytime can order a calendar through them.

It can be priced at their base price which I think is $14.95 and they handle everything but the design work.

If you want me to take the lead send me your pictures:

2300 pixels W x 1800 pixels H @ 200 DPI or PPI
11.4"W x 9"H (trimmed to 11"x8.5")

We'll see how much my email account will handle (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)
If you have many to submit, send them to me on a CD.

Let's say all photo submissions are due by the 1st of August. Then we can take a club vote on the favorite 12.

What say ye (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif)

Thanks for the offer Gwen. Sounds good to me. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Please - be sure that you don't get burned on this deal like you did with the 914 Girl Hats. BTW - do you have any of them left? If so I would like to buy one. No, I don't have a new girl friend to give it to. I figure I can use it like Cinderella's glass slipper to find the perfect one.
