So...
I did something stupid today climbing into the 914. I leaned on the center box thing with my elbow and put a nice rip in the vinyl covering the padded top of the box. Does anybody have any suggestions how to reupholster/repair/replace the box top? I didn't see anything on 914rubber and AA just had complete new boxes for $200. Thanks. |

Standard solution = Duct Tape (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) If you're high class, use black duck tape. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif)
Beware. That is a warning sign that 50 year old vinyl has become brittle. The rest of your vinyl on the seats for example probably isn't far behind. Common problem with things like vintage motorcyle seats too! |
