Please make it the last weekend in September if possible, I start driving east 9/30 but would love to bring the Cayman on a Julian run before I leave. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Totally in on that and can help plan/lead if you want help. Pretty local to that area. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Julian is definitely a good run and there's a lot of other great roads in the area as well, Mt Palomar, the Montezuma Downgrade into Borrego, Mesa Grande etc.

Palomar and Motezuma is great, I must have been on mesa too but I do not know the name.

78 to/back from Borrego/Julian is awesome too.

The sculptures in Borrego are neat too.

Totally agree, Montezuma is one of the best roads in San Diego IMHO...

To put things in perspective for why not now and why October...Its 109* right now in Borrego, 93* at my house in Ramona and 82* in Julian

Ok, so I went out yesterday to map out the drive. The drive to Julian is no problem everything is open so were good there. Then I drove up to Palomar, everthing is closed up there. The drive would be good but no stores or bathrooms etc. Then I drove to pala casino everything is open there too. There was one place i passed on the way to Palomar it was called Jose's it was a little bar and restaurant but its only about q5 miles from julian, its at Mesa Grande. Any input...right now I'm saying Ciroba to Temecula to Julian to Pala

How are the trees looking down there? Last time I went to Julian (couple years ago) it was pretty burnt out on the way up.

Of course i dont get down there to often anymore as i live 700 miles away now

What the heck, I am in +1. The car got me to Santa Cruz and back last weekend (~700 miles) so feeling good about reliability at the moment.
