After installing the 123Distributor and turning the body CCW until the green light turns on this is where the rotor and #1 plug wire line up at TDC. Since the rotor turns clockwise it's already passed the #1 plug wire. Does it have to be pointing exactly at #1 plug or just in the general area to start the engine?

When I did my 1.8 i just started where the green light was on then set the timing using the flywheel marks. These are great distributers. The blue tooh adjust ability is fantastic.
