I had that exact ski rack on my last 914-6 as we took it skiing a couple times at Lake Tahoe. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

With the salt they spread here I could never see myself driving to the ski hill...and I only live 3-4 miles away.

When we would get back from skiing I would take my car to the "25 cent" car wash and use a floor jack to jack it up and thoroughly wash off the bottom, fender wells, suspension, etc.
