(IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Going to build a 1911cc. for my 1970 and already own a set of lifters. I read somewhere that the case needed to be opened 0.002 for clearance. Did I read this or will the lifters fit in the case just fine . Thanks in advance. Gordon

IIRC the first runs of lifters were .002" oversize, later were stock size.
If you got the very first small hole lifters it's best if you disable the lifter pressure relief by-pass spring with a short piece of rod. I have them in my 2.6 and a I have a set on the shelf. |
