A friend of mine is helping a widow sell her husband's race car. I told him I would pass this information on to 914world. Here is the description he sent me in an email:
71 European-6 I'm the third owner , since 75. Chassis has about 50k on her. Factory RSR front coil over Factory GT flars 951 x8 in the front and 911x9 rear Assco Racing cage additional chassis support- done by Dennis at Assco Racing Anaheim Ca Vellos 915 / 916 conversion, short 3,4 and 5th gears, and ZF LSD set at 60% locking factor Race seat from Subsport in Huntington Beach five belt race belts - driver, passenger 3.2 > 3.4 with Mahle 98 p/c, and Carrillo rods from the old Andial operation...case and crank mods. Carrera-6 manifold and Italian 46 weber twin plugs aircraft fuel bladder in factory tank As you can see from the description, it was set up for the track but he rarely took it out. Attached are a few pictures of the car and a picture of some of the parts stacked along one of the wall in the garage. If you or anyone you know have an interest in the car, please email and I'll get back to you. Thanks, Patrick patrickarakawa@yahoo.com She would like to get 60k for it. They are located in Hacienda Heights, California |

There is no windshield VIN on european cars Sent you a PM question as well. The door jamb sticker was removed as well. There are generally 4 VIN locations on a 914; 2 front trunk, 1 windshield and door jamb with date of manufacture. 2 of them are missing on this car. The paint code plate was there, the car was originally white. L90E Alpine White. |

Are you sure L90E and not L 80 E?
I read L 90E as a 1980 color for porsche. There is no windshield VIN on european cars Sent you a PM question as well. The door jamb sticker was removed as well. The paint over the little square plate is thick... with my cell phone light in the garage, that is what I saw. 9 could be 8 I guess. It could be L80 E as under the cowl it would more or less match Light Ivory versus Alpine White. It is still a more factory color under there where the roll bar passes through the vent ducting.
