One thing I found when dealing with event managers, the deal they offered was worse than what could be had with other ‘general’ discounts like military, senior, AAA, etc.

Check those too and if they offer less, nudge them in the right direction. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif)

Senior with AAA? Isn't that just about all of us? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

Should be doable, we'll just see how the car comes along the next four or five months.

Thanks for getting the ball started on this.

Be prepared for a date change. Either one week earlier or one week later. Reason is the week we chose is parent week for the SLO college students. The good news we will get a better hotel rate with a savings of $70.00 dollars and all the restaurants will not be as packed.

More info to come.

Good call on the reschedule. My wife and I unknowingly ended up in SLO on parents weekend in 2019. No parking, full restaurants. I agree that we move the event.

Quick update: Cal Poly still has not announced the dates for Parents Week on campus, although Quality Inn is assuming it is either the October 8-9 weekend or the October 15-16 weekend based on their pricing and discussions with the local manager.

I reached out to the Director of Parking & Transportation on campus (she has a hopped-up Speedster replica!) a couple of weeks ago, and she heard back today that the dates still have not been nailed down and likely won't be until early summer.

For that reason, I am changing the WCR dates to one week later (October 21-24). The hotel prices shown on the Quality Inn website are indeed 20-30% lower that weekend.

We'll be there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Hotels are gonna be fun though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) We have one at Cal Poly and another in the wings. Rooms are always a challenge. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

This is going to be an EPIC WCR. SLO is Cali at it's finest.
