Fuchs are the usual go to.
15x6 are 16# each. 951 spares 15x5.5 are 11#s!! I LOVE the steelie look, but 15x5.5 are about 20#s each. The 951 spare looks like the steelie but are aluminum. Your 67 would have had 15x4.5. No idea how much they weigh. No matter what you decide to do it should be fun and rewarding. Buckle up and enjoy the ride! |

Get a set of 951 spares, they are silly light! Next time I need tires (probably now) I’ll swap over to them on the 356.
I wish I could figure out how to mount stock hubcaps did the full sleeper look. I do know a 356 that made custom center caps for them, but you’d need to mill the mount. |

I need to find a deal since guys are asking big money for them these days. I was able to get a good deal on 2 flat Fuchs so now I have a set of 5. The steelies that come with it will sit in corner for a while. Having wheels that fit the 912 and a 914 is a bonus. I always wanted a car with green gauges. Since you asked heres a pic of the 68 with the 951 wheels on it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
68s came with spacers, which I don't have, so im still playing with proper figment. Tires are 185.60s, same as i run on the teener. ![]() |

I’m over 300lb weight savings on paper. Nothing radical, nothing too expensive but enough to make a difference. But first I need a solid chassis. |

Sold the 616 engine. Now the plan is to do a 3.2 short stroke.
Metalwork is ~85% done. |
