The weather was perfect. I didn't need any parts, but you know how it is... if you make the mistake of bringing money, you buy stuff you didn't know you needed. It's a very strange phenomenon which requires more research.

I nominate Der Campmeister for the long distance award. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

hi phil, didn't even know you showed up. you must have been in the upper lot. good turnout this year. it was fun not to be a seller this year. i didn't spend much but picked up a few interesting little bits and ends. whole lot of fun not having to load up a truckx2 (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) . there were quite a few wheels for sale this year. some guys thought they were gold and i'm sure took them home. lots of members showed up. didn't know there is a member close to me with a raby 2270. full meal deal to include a tangerine. the new green paint job got oohs and ahhs. perfect weather. some talk come up of a cruise up hwy410/chinook pass/packwood/skate creek road cruise in the fall.

Der Campmeister did Ok. He got some of my coin. My purchase 4 of these. Starts with a P, next letter a, next letter n, next letter a. You can guess the rest. Loving it right now but, I have to enter the check Monday. Wrote it on the business account so the wife won't know but, the accountant hates when I use the business for personal stuff. Screw the SOB (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/finger.gif)

pjhaun: Thanks for posting photos. My son and I had a great time today. We came for the experience but sold a few things too. Bonus.

I tried to pay Craig $10 to take my '75 bumpers back to Camp 914, but he didn't have room. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Eddie914: Can't believe I missed that killer deal on the fiberglass IMSA front bumper/spoiler! Good meeting you.

John Kelley: Thanks for the bumper! I look forward to one of your workshops in the Seattle area. Hint hint. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

Kevin: I can't believe you didn't take those #450 springs for your teener! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Someone did take them away though... Just think how well his Boxster is going to handle now! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) Soon he will be trading his masseuse visits for a chiropractor. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

spiritedTreiber: Looks like you got a good deal on that car! Nice. Good to meet you.

John Walker: THANKS for keeping this event going. Looking forward to next year.

In the mean time... Any more Porsche shows/events coming around the Seattle area??? Please post a thread.

i had forgotten about the 4 mystery tubes. get this guys, there were 4 tubes with "free" written on them. 2 sets of 450# rear springs (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif) . they were as thick as my index finger. the owner was no where to be seen. 450#, why? might just as well put steel rods in and throw away the shocks (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) . craig always seems to lighten a few wallets when he comes up. the meet was sort of out of control this year. usually you have to unload and then pull you vehicle out. this year everybody just left their big trucks and vans parked in the display area. jw was not pleased. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) why brad k doesn't list his super nice 6x15 and 7x15, 5 lug fuch in the classifieds. you had me going with BOAOM craig. but i figured it out. What fun the swap meet was, my neighbor & I take the freshly painted & partially assembled "green one" to the swap meet. What a confidence booster that was.
Lots of positives on how great she looked.

I met a lot of club guys , it's funny how I felt I knew them, I had to meet "Rhody Guy" , I made sure I was very very nice to him & had absolutely NO business transactions with him! He is a super guy & we had some good laughs about "another layer of the onion."

Met Craig of Camp 914 ( about $450.00 contribution to his good business day ) Beware he really pushes those Pilot driving lights. I couldn't say no.

DN Hunt visited a bit, two guys hovered over my car for & hour, turns out that they both have 914s sitting for many years & seemed inspired by my car to get working on them.

Great fun & great guys to hang with.

What a fun day and enjoy talking with some club folks face to face. The traffic up I-5 was ugly so I got there late but was still able to pick up a few trinkets. Some of the nice paint jobs on the cars that showed up made me look with some disdain at the work the PO did to mine. But what the heck I was able to take the top off and have a great drive home. It looks great when it is sitting by itself back in the garage.
