The car was sent out to my mechanic to shore everything up about 3 months ago. I've been working on it for about 5 years now and I wanted a second set of eyes on somethings while also finishing up some stuff that I'm not comfortable doing.
The car had sat for about 10 years before I got it and was a mouse motel for most of that time. There was a lot of electrical work that needed to be done, among other things.
Here's a high level list of what they did:

1) installed the tangerine racing carb linkage
2) installed the tangerine racing shift linkage
3) Put new boots on the tie rod ends
4) Tightened up all the suspension (front and rear)
5) Got the rear brakes installed and working (PMB rebuilds)
6) fixed all the chewed up wiring on the main harness
7) installed the new ignition and alternator harnesses
8) installed all the rebuilt gauges and got them working
9) rewired all the dash lights.
10) rewired all of the front and rear lights
11) took special time to re-wrap all of the harnesses
12) setup and configured the carbs
13) got the motor running, fixed any of the minor oil leaks, etc..
14) put the restored fuchs on the car (with continental 195x65 15's)
15) lots of various other miscellaneous stuff

The install of the interior, upper and lower dash and the front and rear glass will start this weekend. After that is done, we'll start doing the shake down driving and dial her in, adjust the ride height, etc....

I naively thought I could do it in 2 years when it all started.

Looks beautiful! Love the color and the restored Fuchs really pop. Sounds like you’re in the home stretch! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Your car looks beautiful and soon enough will be putting a huge smile on your face as you are cruising the roads. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Thanks everyone, for the comments and kind words.
It's been an interesting ride getting here. When we started this, we didn't know much about 914's other than I really wanted one. We would never had made it without the support of this community and the vendors that are so passionate about these cars.
We still have a bit to do but it's not much and every day we get closer.
Thanks for all the help and for tolerating my questions and posts.

Very nice, and congrats so far.

And I can empathize with the 2 year plan thing.
