After looking around at different setups, I found an old thread where someone ordered a new 914/6 cable from Terrycable that was 14" longer than stock and made a bracket.
Looked like an easy way to go. I drew this design up, made the end articulate in/out and swivel up down. once I had it in the sweet spot, I welded it solid and added the gusset. Its rock solid and works perfectly. I have taken measurements of this one to make myself a solid unit without the slots, but I will probably just roll with this one. WOT, and she snaps right back to zero like a champ. |

this really is probably the best solution. the stock one on my six is in good repair but just seems to have a lot of stiction and the pedal force is higher than i like. Nice solution and really nice looking engine bay!!
