My stick swivels clockwise if pushed hard trying to got into reverse or first. If you swivel it back it kinda holds into a better position. If you are real nice to it this doesn't happen. Suggestions? It moves maybe an inch to the left. Maybe 15 degrees.

Maybe I miss reading this but if the shift rod is rotating left or right where it meets the rest of the mechanism isn’t the solution to just tack weld it back in place?

Use epoxy.
