Good evening,

Pumpkin is a 1970. I have dash out. Question is can I put the windshield to dash seal in before I put the dash in or should it wait til after dash is installed.

Thanks
Renee

IIRC, the one I'm getting from 914 rubber, is stiffer, and can be put in with WS in.

Anything else, you may need to I had always read?

you would be able to get to it a lot easier with the dash out but, I believe it would be easier.
Glass out would be the easiest though, I know that's not an option here.

The challenge is that the seal sits on top of the installed dash. If you absolutely can't take the glass out, I'd probably opt for putting the seal in AFTER the dash. Probably easier to push in on the pinch weld than to fit the dash under.

The seal was designed to install without removing glass or windshield.
So, I would do it after the dash was installed. That way its installed laid flat on it.
