A member was making these years ago. I never tried to install it...someone here might have tried one and can comment. IIRC you don't have to modify the lid to use this.

Neat idea. I would be cautious though. If these were made with PLA the heat might not hold up to well in the engine compartment. Depends on how hot it gets in there. I made some directional vents for my 911 and found the heat started to warp them some I'm going to try PETG next.
