BTW the solid dash tops are in stock and we have left this run at $650 as we still have material, we are hoping the cost will not go up much as things look like they are stabilizing some

Are you going to do one for the 70-71 cars?
I have a 914-6 that is in desperate need of one. Clay |

We are having some issues with making the vinyl that is formed over the tops. Hope to have it resolved in a month or less if all goes well. And yes
WE ARE WORKING ON THE EARLY VERSION ALSO They will both require the vinyl, so for now we are stuck. |

Update 3.18.23
We had to have the vinyl made on these and the 1st round didn't meet our specifications. The texture was not deep enough. We are on round 2 and should have material ready in a few weeks. The sample material we approved was correct, but when they went into production the pattern wasn't as deep. So we had to reject. The good news is that this wasn't our fault and didn't add any cost to the part. We have estimated that we can produce these and initially sell them at $340 per unit on the late dashes. The early will be more as we will not have the volume. We are still working out how many we will produce. It looks like it will add $50 for them. Again these will be made like OEM, yes more modern materials, but the fundamental issue these had was different densities. So, I would expect that over enough time they too will crack. But over time, hopefully much longer. The really good news is the price! |

Bump:
Checking to see if you still have these, I don’t see them on the site. My dash cap looks good, but might as well do it right when I have the interior gutted. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

You can see the shorter glove box opening on the later dash pad. The two early ones have a slightly larger opening.
I should probably sell my later dash. I only have early cars. Attached thumbnail(s) |
