FS 1975 914 2.0. Mars (Scarlet) Red/black. Body is clean and straight. Interior is in fantastic condition. Believed to be one repaint in original color by previous owner. Original California car - air pump and related equipment are removed but are available. Certificate of Authenticity will be provided.
Since purchase 6 years ago: Weltmeister front sway bar with Brad Mayeur braces, 19mm master cylinder, turbo tie rods, Boge struts, Bilstein shocks and new 100 lb springs. Tangerine stainless steel fuel lines from tank to engine. New shift bushings and all new bushings in steering system. Transmission mounts. Added 5 Mahle wheels and Dunlop tires (spare matches wheel and tire). New carpet with sound deadening on floor, both sides of firewall, and inside doors. Mats from cocomats.com. LEDs for gauges. Many new rubber seals and parts, including on roof. LE air dam. New windshield and surround. AGM battery. Period-correct Pioneer Supertuner. Hella driving lights run off of the fog light lines. Original FI is in place and starts and runs great. Longs and hell hole are solid. Seats and dash are in beautiful condition. Stripes are vinyl, not paint, and can easily be removed. Parts to restore cosmetics to bone stock are available. Many early maintenance records are available, as are all since I purchased it. The car has been stored in a climate-controlled garage for at least the past 6 years and has been regularly maintained at Rennsport Tulsa. PPI is welcome. Many more pics and additional information are available upon request. This is my fifth 914, and I have really tried to respect the car with all I have done. Hoping it finds a new loving home where it will be appreciated and maintained in its present condition. It's really in nice condition and attracts tons of attention at shows. Beautiful car.
How long those vinyl stripes been on the paint? do you know when it will be on BaT? Trying to figure out what it would cost me to backdate the bumpers. GLWS |

Beautiful car. How long those vinyl stripes been on the paint? do you know when it will be on BaT? Trying to figure out what it would cost me to backdate the bumpers. GLWS Based on photos I took of the striping process, it was in early 2020. The paint was clean and prepped before putting them on. The car is kept in a garage and doesn't see the sun nearly enough, so there should not be any fading of the rest of the paint. I have stripes left over, and would be happy to provide those to the buyer so they can be sure to be able to match them. Incidentally, I have an extra roof that has been sanded smooth and just needs to be prepped and painted to match the car. My plan was to paint it red and continue the stripes over the top. I could make it available as well, along with new parts such as seals, fuzzy, etc. I've had all the photos taken and submitted to BAT, and am told I should be hearing from their contact person about completing the listing perhaps by the end of next week. My guess is the listing goes live October 1 or soon thereafter. I have never backdated bumpers, so I can't speak to that. Perhaps someone else can chime in on it. Suppose the cost would depend on whether you have to acquire new bumpers, tops, and related parts to do it. |
