I have disconnected the CV joint from the transmission and have the bare minimum left to remove from the splined end.. I have removed the C clip!!
Any trick to getting it to budge? The angle makes it difficult to pull with any real force. I am afraid any type of 3 jaw puller will bend something it should not. I did let it soak with lubricant . I could get away with re-inserting the ball bearings but have found that after 3 of them gravity takes over. Open to any suggestions. Thanks George \Wilmington DE |

Do you have the tools to remove the 32mm castle nut at the wheel end ? Then remove the drive shaft assembly and reassemble the CV under better circumstances. |

A brass drift punch might work. You need to use one to get the C clip back seated anyway when you put it back together.

Check this video at 1:14 for removal. You basically use the joint like a slide hammer, but it reallly needs to be on the bench for leverage.

I assume so, but let us know the symptom(s) |
