For folks that have a Boxster S 6speed transaxle and are using 911 Carrera GKN/Loebro axles (Porsche PT# 91133202415 / GKN PT# 300 758) :

1. What spacers are you using in your 914 for fitment?

2. Where did you source them?

Thanks in advance!

What is that 6-speed going behind? What are you using for a shifter? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

@The Double S - That's the same set up I'm running in my LS car. You need:
- 1/2" spacers between the trans output shafts and the inner CVs along with appropriately longer bolts. Make your own spacer or contact Renegade Hybrids - they supplied mine.
- At the hub end, you'll need a special spacer from Patrick Motorsports, available here:

Hey Chris! Actually we talked about this a little while back when I was receiving mismatched axles with the same part numbers.

When I reached out to Renegade they seemed like they didn't know what I was talking about when I described it to them but I will give it another shot and call them tomorrow.

Unfortunately I don't have the tooling to make them myself. Think there might be another vendor to supply the 1/2" spacers in the case Renegade can't?

I got the spacers from Renegade as a part from their Boxster 6 speed "kit" options.

If you had to have a machine shop make them, it'd be a pretty simple piece. It's just spacer with the 6 bolt holes and a big hole in the middle, to lessen the weight and allow clearance for the bump on the CV.

No dice. Renegade is telling me that they don't supply it. I'll have to source it elsewhere

I just did a quick search for "911 CV spacer" and found a couple options. Here's one -
No idea if the dimension is correct but maybe you can find a spec somewhere, call them and ask...?

If you have 911 hubs, 911 water cooled axles bolt to the transmission and bolt to the hub with no adapters.

Porsche Axle Shaft Assembly (911) - Gkn 91133202415

I have them running in my car.

@ClayPerrine can you clarify what you mean by 911 hub?

Are you talking about the Boxster S Transaxle output shafts?

Additionally, not necessarily an adapter, but a 1/2" spacer that longer bolts would pass through to fasten to the Boxster S Transaxle output shafts.

The hubs I have in my car came from a 76 911. The splines in them are the same as the axles listed above. The Boxster S transmission flanges are the same size and bolt pattern as the axles. You don't have to change anything, just bolt them up.

Thanks. I feel like we may be talking about separate subjects or I am misunderstanding.

The research and feedback I have received was in order to make the axles fit lengthwise between the transaxle and in to the rear control arm, a spacer(s) needs to be used to make the fitment correct because the 911 axle is too short in length.

I should get some of those 5mm spacers made up. At $50 + ship, it's a couple dollars of steel and doesn't cost much more to make ten sets. Maybe Ben should... @MB911
It's needed when you use the later hub centric 911 rear hubs.

Maybe. The hubs you sent me require this? Or did you send early 911 units?

I sent you early. They don't need the spacer. That's what you asked had for. I'll send you late if you prefer. no prob.
I used late on my suby build and a set for my future build and thought it was kind of silly to spend $100 on four little metal rings.

For the 5mm spacer (washer) you need for the hub to stub axle you can get washers at McMaster Carr industrial supply.

This is a 108 to 110 mm cv joint adapter. I don't know where these came from got them on trade for something else. Give CMS California Motorsports they may have these in stock.

That only applies for air cooled 911 axles. The axles from a water cooled 911 fit with no spacers. I have them on my six conversion with a cayman s transmission and everything bolts up with NO spacers.
