@The Double S - That's the same set up I'm running in my LS car. You need: - 1/2" spacers between the trans output shafts and the inner CVs along with appropriately longer bolts. Make your own spacer or contact Renegade Hybrids - they supplied mine. - At the hub end, you'll need a special spacer from Patrick Motorsports, available here: https://patrickmotorsports.com/collections/...914331aspextpms I should get some of those 5mm spacers made up. At $50 + ship, it's a couple dollars of steel and doesn't cost much more to make ten sets. Maybe Ben should... @MB911 It's needed when you use the later hub centric 911 rear hubs. Maybe. The hubs you sent me require this? Or did you send early 911 units? I sent you early. They don't need the spacer. That's what you asked had for. I'll send you late if you prefer. no prob. I used late on my suby build and a set for my future build and thought it was kind of silly to spend $100 on four little metal rings. Ok great no worries. I am still confused what I have. I need to research that this winter so I am ready to go in spring. |

Thanks Clay. I understand now and I didn't know that about the water cooled axles. Could have saved a couple steps.
The GKN axles I bought are for air cooled cars. The years listed were 1985.5 - 1988. |
