Is this early or late? I believe there was a difference wasn't there?

Hi George. @dr914 @autoatlanta.com

I might just be me, but I find the info on the page confusing.

Is this an OEM part?

It says "factory look" in the title, but the description states "factory issue".

It's a good deal either way!

I'm mostly wondering if I'm the only one who thinks OEM when I see "factory issue."

the company that originally made them for Porsche makes them , but not in Germany any more. They are really identical to the originals but do not have the script on them

If they're the same as the ones that Sierra Madre offers then yes, they are very nice indeed!

There is a thread on 914World about the installation of a mirror on the passenger side. A finicky process but IMHO, well worth it.

I'd recommend that you pull the glass from the door to access. Once it's pulled drill through the existing nuts with a small 3/16" bit IIRC. Then from the outside use a 6mm bit to enlarge the hole to 6mm. This way you won't end up with a large oval hole because you weren't dead center. The mirror base would hide an enlarged hole but you'll always know it is there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)
