The 17916 VIN on this 1974 originally L80E car confirms that is not an LE, however,

PLEASE, swap that real LE front spoiler with an aftermarket unit and sell the real one to me or another LE owner. I have a Creamsicle that really needs an authentic LE spoiler. Your spoiler needs significant repair but it is salvageable and an LE owner would be pleased to have this.

Thank you, Jeff. Sorry all, I intended to write "L80E" and have just corrected the original post.

Is it really an actual LE spolier though? I thought it had to have some indications (semi-circular stamp-like marks? or something else) on the ends .

I would be happy to trade you (or any 914World 'Teeners) for an LE style (copy) spoiler as I feel the cooling system should have an airdam unlike the original 1.8/2.0L front valence.

Ill add for any potential buyer:

I drove Marcus up to Nor Cal to buy this car and bring it back. From where he got it to where it is now is amazing. I helped Marcus rebuild the brakes and the shifter. He did ALOT of the heavy lifting on this car as it relates to all the systems. When the tank got done, we also did the fuel level sender.

It starts right up, sounds amazing and drives well. As cars go, the rust is really minimal and fixable without too much fanfare. It needs someone to love it and you could not build it for what it is for sale for. Just my .02 cents.

IF the air dam turns out to be an original LE one, I have this air dam available and would gladly work out a 3 way deal that gets your LE air dam in Jeff's hands.

Bud, thank you! Marcus's spoiler is the real deal, although it needs significant repair.

Thank you Jeff and Bud.

After some pics and discussion, it's a real LE spoiler.

It was given to me by an extremely supportive friend and World 'Teener . . .I feel it only just that I return it to him.

Bud - someone is driving from a distance to look at my 914-V8 this afternoon . . .if he wants it quickly I may need to contact you about your front air dam.

Thank you, Sir - wish I could trade for a flat six! At this price point, a Subaru H-6 would be fine. . . I drove one once and was great.

Ok - my first (ever) posted youtube video is available - I added it to the original post, but here it is as well:

Well, I learned how to edit a bit today . . .at least enough to (mostly) muffle the neighbor noise . . .

First 914World "embedment" - thank you, Mark!

I mounted a new 914 Renegade front spoiler 2 days ago . . .it was modeled specifically for the Rod Simpson-style front bumper cut out and stylistaclly fits better than the LE spoiler . . .I suspect it channels air into the radiator better as well.

I had to take a quick pic between rain sessions, so there was no time to clean it before taking this pic, which has also been added to the end of the original picture postings:

@RobArabian and I did our best to represent the spirit of 914World at Supercar Sunday this morning with Porsche as the featured marque.

Surprisingly, we had the only two 914’s there : a green 6 and a red 8. .
