Getting much closer @PMB Performance.

Leather seats, leather dash new carpet, center con. with extra gauges. So, time to road test soon.

@burton73 Nice car! I love the look of the Fuchs w/no center caps. Subtle, racy "declaration of intent" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I was just going over this with Mark S an hour ago. He says he want caps. That is easy enough. The wheels are good copies of, on front Deep 6s x 15 and rears 7r’s. That really is kind of a deep 7. Going with a 4.5 spare with a tire from a Spacesaver from a MB SLK
Mark is planning on driving this blue boy back from PMB in UT to Hermosa Beach CA after the 350 mile shakedown near PMB, then Vale Adjustment and oil change.

I painted my engine compartment white, nice and bright when working on the engine. Very nice job restoring the car!

Word on the Blue Boy or what we are calling this car. From Mark Sonners, Eric took blue boy home over weekend put 100 miles on. Says runs and handles super, pulls very strong and sounds sweet. Back at shop for some adjustments the extended break-in this coming weekend I’ll be good to go check it middle of next week

Insert picture of The Blue Boy (c. 1770) is a full-length portrait in oil by Thomas Gainsborough, owned by The Huntington in San Marino, California.

History
One of Gainsborough's best known works, The Blue Boy was long thought to be a portrait of Jonathan Buttall (1752–1805), the son of a wealthy hardware merchant, because of his early ownership of the painting. This identification has never been proven and as Susan Sloman argued in 2013, the likely sitter is Gainsborough's nephew, Gainsborough Dupont (1754–1797)

First saw this painting back in Elementary school trip with Pinky course.

Also had to play the Blue Boy by John Fogerty
