Well they are vinyl, so no elephants were killed. But we finally found a vinyl that can be used to replace these.

Here’s an early 2 piece door panel. The vinyl has grain but isn’t elephant hide. There is no foam behind the vinyl. Came from a one owner car in NJ that rusted out. Had a lot of unique early ‘70 details.
Door pockets are also tan but the door pulls and door top bolsters are black. Factory two tone. Attached thumbnail(s) |
