Digging into the doors to R&R all the felts. Vapor barrier was still there but a bit ratty. So I replaced it. Being some sort of "pressboard or fiberboard" the map pocket upper mounting edge had severely warped/shrunk in the corners and middle and 2-3 screw holes were virtually reamed out not fully supporting the pocket.
After some "brainstorming" I figured I'd rewet the edge pocket and try to straighten the warps and fix the augered holes. Boiled up some water and dunked the upper 3/8s inch of the pocket and used the pock mount as a template for restraightening. I did it 2 x and seems to have taken to its old shape nicely. Will reinforce the back side with some form of plumbers tape and should be good to go.
