Really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow and getting my 914-6 out for a good drive. I'm bringing my friend of 3 decades and big Porsche enthusiast, Susan who used to race 914-6s too. She's loving getting back into a 914-6.

@mxkinn01 So sorry about your breakdown. So close to civilization, but still so far away from everything. Hopefully, a simple part swap replacement on the spindle. It was still good to see you guys on Saturday.

Looks like the spindle is still in good shape. the dust cap got a bit galled on the inside but still usable, the thrust washer took a beating (grabbed one from one of my VW buddies) and the head of the M7 locking bolt for the spindle nut is now shinny on one side but still usable. Even the rotor still made it through (I will replace both front rotors and soft lines after the RT66 run if I'm done and can make it). The inner bearing was okay as was the inner seal. As for the trouble maker outer bearing, the cage was in about 1,000,000 pieces LOL and all the rollers got stuck in the grease. Almost everything ended up inside the rotor between the two bearings. I will replace both sides.
And yes it was great seeing everyone even as short as it was.
