Lot #122 is a '74 factory L041 paint code with Mahle wheels and a VIN right near the end of the known CanAm/LE range... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

The listing says 1.8L but who knows if that's correct or original to the car.

They have a 1.7/1.8 on there listed as a 2.0 so who knows what is what. I put 25 bucks on the 2.7 l six, and I see that part of the air box is in a separate listing. I don't think the people putting it together really had much knowledge of what they were looking at.

Lot 122 VIN is actually just beyond the LE VIN range. Its just a plain jane 914...NOT an LE.

Not sure if all these parts are physically at the Auction site (Palmyra, NY), but this is very close to where I live. I'd be happy to help if anyone needs local representation.

The headlight motor covers look grey and there are sway bar parts in the trunk… would have guessed it was a BB

definitely not a BB.
expansion tank tyre sticker is the giveaway 100%
its for a 1.8 SR tyres. if a 2.0 says HR.

Attached Image

headlight motor covers indicate nothing.
other than its a 74 (either a 1.8 or 2.0) built between 01/74 ad 05/74.
this one has vin 16788.
our research posts last grey at 16808 and return to black at 17848,
fits the bill for just being a grey headlight cover for any 74.

sway bars mean nothing.
i have a 74 1.8 that was ordered with the sway bars and came factory fitted.

engine bay is totally intact 1.8 L jet 49 states.
EC-B engine.

Attached Image

a steal as an L jets part car at $660.00
looks to be a lot of stuff on it still you could strip off.
hell hole area looks like it might be the aftermath of krakatoa. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I brought home a decent mostly solid, mostly complete '74 example. Not as though I need another, but this brings my total to 6, plus a 911S and a 930. From what I understand a long time collector/ Porsche wrench was in ill health. Tons of parts, several 911's and a couple 914's.

is that the black one we are talking about being not a BB?
if so, i wouldn't mind getting some data on the car if you got time at some point.
just to add to our 1.8 L jet research files.
the black one is a latish 74 1.8 and looks pretty intact in a lot of respects despite overall condition.
