I nominate @scallyk9 's Bumblebee as we are nearing the 50th anniversary of the LE. Gorgeous example that just spent the last year as part of a Porsche 75th Anniversary exhibit at the LeMay museum in Tacoma, WA.

I missed going to the exhibit. Somehow it fell off my radar until the day after it ended. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

I may be biased, but I'll second that nomination.

As both are worthy, let’s put up the 914 that is more rare and most original. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Don't they both fit that description?

However, it ain't the 50th anniversary of a modified high budget 914-6 build. Bob's car is awesome, and having met him, and bought a car from him, Bob is the salt of the earth, and both he and his car are worthy of accolades, but in terms of historical significance this really isn't a contest....And if we have to be picky about being unique, there were far more -6's built than LE's.

Having seen Bobs -6 up close, I would say it’s one of the finest 914s around and will vote for it.

I second the nomination to have mepstein run the CotM!

Someone needs to do it.

He's got a pretty good handle on 914s.

And, he has "too much time on his hands..."
