Made the sill plates and rocker panel on the drivers side. This wraps up the major metal work, but still have a lot minor metal work to do.

Picked up a new toy, a bead roller. I needed to make an access panel for the fuel tank/pump where I cut the floor out to make the tank fit. I never played with a bead roller before, pretty cool tool. The panel is 18ga and is now nice and strong/rigid. This was my first attempt at using the roller, I’ll get better with more practice, but this panel fits well and will work fine.

Got the fender and grill mounts figured out and finally got the radiator mount low enough to clear the hood. I had to abandon modifying the stock radiator mount and make my own. Mounting the 1941 bumper and brackets to the 2008 frame was a little challenging but it came out well……fun stuff.

In my best Dr. Frankenstein voice……”It’s alive”!

Took a putt around my yard today. It’s the first time it’s moved on its own. I’m working real hard to get it to the Pumpkin Run car show on 11/1, I might just make it.

The first official outing, a Trunk or Treat at the NJMP track. We drove there without a windshield, my girl is a good sport (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Time for a dash……i wanted to retain all the functionality of the Denali gauge pod but didn’t want the modern look of a gauge pod. I made the dash with openings that align with each of the 6 gauges in the pod to make it look more like classic steam type gauges. I also worked with a company who does custom gauge overlays to create an overlay with Frankenstein and the Bride for the speedo and tach. All my shop creations get a Frankenstein incorporated somewhere (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
