i should also note this is NOT a concours car by any means. its a tool for me to learn and carry my grandpas legacy a bit while having fun. so please forgive alot of mistakes and poor welds, etc. its gonna be a bit rough here and there and thats ok for me

some major/minor updates.

Tell us about your engine specs ? what did you end up with in the end and what are your plans for auxiliary oil cooling suitable for a 2.3 .
Looks like you are knocking off the "to do " quickly so keep it up ,cheers.

Great progress, Gramps would be proud. Is the paint code a L31M?

Trying to understand what (how) was done to the wheels. They look great!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

Looking forward to following the rest of the work! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif)

the engine was completely rebuilt from AApistons in Covina, ca.

https://aapistons.com/products/aa-gex-rebui...che-914-engines

obviously all the required changes to go to carbs etc. currently i dont have plans to add an additional oil cooler at the moment but i did add the additional oil sump.
im leaving some mental room in the future to go w GT style front oil cooler.
so far my only regret is i had it rebuilt too soon, got at least a year of body ahead of me

thank you! wheels were just black centers. i wasnt sure about that so i scuffed and repainted them for a subtle Singer RSR style warm silver finish. porsche letters on deck lid were done in the same color

refurbed gauge cluster glass and plate. new small wheel for knee room. about my old Elise size now...you can tell im doing all the superfluous cosmetic stuff and dragging on the rust repair. well it will be easy to put back together when the body is all done, everything else will be shiny and new
