Is it cool to bring a new Boxster to a 914 event?

Is it rust-free? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I'm very excited for you guys. Nothing, like a brand-new Porsche.

Enjoy. Just curious, are you good at winning raffles? Or lottery kind of things? Some people are just lucky that way in their life’s

We feel lucky now! It is still hard to believe. Maybe we should purchase lottery tickets, but I think PCA lottery tickets are a much better bet.

We purchased two PCA raffle tickets at $50 each. PCA gave away (6) cars for the fall raffle and if my math is correct, it looks like we had about a two in 33,500 chance of winning. Since we purchased two raffle tickets it was a one in 16,750 chance of winning a grand prize. The odds of winning the lottery are one in 292.2 Million so it looks like the PCA raffle has much better odds of winning than playing the lottery.

OFFICIAL RULES 1. Entries will be sold only to PCA members listed in the PCA database at the time of purchase. To be eligible to win a prize, you must be a PCA member listed in the PCA membership database at the time of the drawing. Entries may not be assigned, transferred, or sold either before or after the drawing.
After11,000 entries are sold, additional Grand Prizes (2025 718 Cayman or Boxster + $25,000 Cash Prize) will be added for every additional 4,500 entries sold. The odds of winning will depend upon the total number of entries sold. All entries received by December 13, 2024, will be accepted into the raffle.

It seems the PCA Raffle is a much better bet!

Good Luck!

Kelvin

Update to the Fall PCA Raffle: We have designed our 718 Boxster and production is scheduled to start April 9, 2025 at the old Karmann factory in Osnabrück, Germany. This is the same factory where our 914s were produced 50 years ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blue914.jpg)

The manufacturing process is scheduled for completion on my birthday - May 6th. We expect to take delivery at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta sometime between May 24, 2025 and August 30, 2025. Just in time for Okteenerfest 2025.

I showed up for the annual Alabama Region PCA Polar Bear Run Saturday Morning. The person dressed up as a polar bear during the driver's meeting turned out to be the Executive Director of the PCA, Vu Nguyen, to present me with a new car!

It is still hard to believe this really happened!

That looks exactly like Vu!

@914four
Just now seeing this post. CONGRATS Kelvin and Donna!
Should've ordered it in Alaska Blue Metallic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)

Of course the 718 is welcome at Okteenerfest.
