So, it is too far for me to drive from LA, but I think I can fly into Flagstaff and rent a car there. That is only an hour drive to Winslow and then 30 miles from Williams back to the airport in Flagstaff
Mark says his Son Nick will be coming is for the run from Germany where he lives. I believe He will drive marks Red 911 targa

Sounds like an awesome trip. I've made the Route 66 trip 3 times now (OKC to LA twice) and Chicago to LA the last time, but by far the most fun was the 2nd trip in my first 914 back in the late 70s. We were barely 21 at the time and didn't have a worry in the world.

Only going as far as Amarillo TX.
