Here’s my setup. It’s for my Suby conversion, but should be viable for any setup. Don’t score my welds (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This thread talks about some of the hydraulic conversions people have done, including mine:
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...c=90342&hl= I have a 3.0 six with a 915 transmission in my car, but it's a '78 engine and trans, so I do have the over-center helper spring on the throwout mechanism at the transmission, and I added the helper spring down at the pedals as well to stay as close to stock as possible. The mechanical advantage can't be increased beyond stock without shortening the travel of the throwout lever, so I doubt you will get much relief from doing that before you run into inadequate clutch travel. |

@East coaster
You need to push the brake rod assembly onto the post and install the washer and cotter pin. Attached thumbnail(s) |

Here is how I did the clutch master setup:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1143-1555814683_thumb.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1143-1555814691_thumb.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-1143-1555814703_thumb.jpg) I reversed the shaft in the pedal box. That put the arm at the other end, so the clutch master doesn't have to mount to the front of the tunnel. I ended up reworking the clutch master connection to the arm after driving it a bit. I changed it out for a clevis that went on both sides of the arm. I ended up changing the master cylinder for a different one to get it to disengage the clutch completely, but now it is way too heavy. Rick918S found a 944 master cylinder that will work with a Boxster/Cayman slave, so I am going to give that a try. |

I installed a 5/8 Honda master with my Boxster 5 speed and have difficulty getting into gear. Pedal is super soft and pick up point is just off the floor. Looking into a 3/4 but I keep seeing mention that the effort is too high even though that's the Boxster size. Hoping you might have the answer before I start trying to chuck useless parts at it. |
