Based on the compression check, I believe I’m going to leave the cylinders and pistons alone.
Add dual 34 or 40 carbs. Add a new clutch pressure plate and check the flywheel. Change the Oil pump. Some various seals. I need to find out what distributor is in it now. It had already been converted from EFI so it has an electric fuel pump. This will be a lot less money than I was anticipating. |

Engine and Transmission adapter for 911 912 914 and 356 for an engine stand.
This one looked like it was very well-made and you should be able to do pretty much anything including putting the engine tins on the motor while on the stand. ![]() |

I ordered a 17 mm hex head to remove the fill plugs. I think I have one, but I can’t find it. I don’t think I’m going to have to replace the shifter gaskets. How hard is the place the shifter forks in the correct place if I’m asking the question right when you replace that Seal?
It does look like the speedometer housing and transmission input seal at a minimum need to be replaced. |
