The 20th Century Jaide kit for 915 trans, into the 914.
'Mechanical shift linkage adapter for use with 911 SC/ or Carrera shift console. They also sold the rear 915 to 914 rear undercar bracket to hold 915 into position. I actually saw one on a working /driving 914 at an Aase Motors open house long ago.

...now I'm thinking that the original design for this nosecone shift adapter was from Rod Simpson Hybrids (v8 914/ 911 conversions) in WLA CA. He pre-dated the first Gen Renegade kits. Jaide must have just carbon copied it.

I can’t imagine that gave a satisfactory shifting experience. Cool that you still had it in your parts archives.

I've know a few techs at different independent Air Cooled shops in those days: some of them wrestled with the Velios 915-to-914 shift kits...constantly adjust + re adjust. Adequate gear selection at best.

A friend of mine (914dave) has a Velios kit behind his 3.2. I think it works really well for him. But he’s a machinist and told me he did a good amount of custom work on the internals.

Is Wevo still a thing? I had a Wevo converted 915 in my 3.6 teener and it worked well with my Renshift shifter.

Wevo as a company is still in business. They no longer make the 914/915 conversion kit

15 years ago, I put together this setup using the original gear lever from a Porsche 914 2.0.
