Or the oven cleaner... There's a post on the 911 PP board from some guy who walked into his garage to a "hissing" sound.

Discovered that a can of "oven cleaner" high on his garage shelf had corroded and sprung a small leak... spraying a fine mist of corrosive oven cleaner all over the hood and interior of his car.

Oh what a joy!

And why the heck was he storing oven cleaner in the garage!

Oh, here it is...

It's up to $49.95. Special "last can" price. Better hurry.

You mean the last can from the proverbial "lost parts warehouse"? That's a bargain!

It's really to bad all of the bad information that has been given out on the WD 40 removal. The only way that it can be done properly is remove the paint down to the bare metal and repaint. Keep that stuff away from your car if you know whats good for you.

I got some WD-40 on my car once and I had to take a belt sander with 36 grit paper to get it off.
What a PITA.

I think if I ever got WD 40 on my car, I'd just junk it and get another.

Unbelievable... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif)

He should be glad the kid didn't find the can with brake fluid. Or ingested the stuff. IMPO the moral of this story is: keep your kids from (potentially) dangerous fluids!

You guys "waxed" him all right; after two responses the line went dead.
